Jon Lokhorst, MA, CPA, PCC, is a Leadership Coach who launched his coaching practice after a 30-plus-year career in business and nonprofit leadership roles.
He is a graduate of Coach U and is recognized by the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). Jon also holds an MA in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.
Jon is passionate about helping clients discover the best version of themselves so they can deliver their best value in every situation. He supports clients in clarifying their personal vision, purpose, and values, as well as focusing on their top priorities. His clients include executive, mid-level, and emerging leaders in the finance and healthcare fields.
Jon Lokhorst started his career as a CPA in a Minneapolis-St. Paul accounting firm and later became a principal there when it became Wallace, Lokhorst & Company, Ltd.
After an 18-year accounting career, Jon transitioned into the nonprofit sector, first serving as Chief Financial Officer for a fast-growing, entrepreneurial nonprofit based in Minneapolis. He then served as Chief Fundraising Officer for several nature-based camps and conference centers in California and Wisconsin.
Throughout his career, Jon has delivered training and public speaking presentations on personal development, leadership, and business topics. Jon appeared on the popular Leadership Podcast, “Coaching for Leaders” with Dave Stachowiak: Episode 312: What Great Technical People Leverage From Leadership.
He also serves as adjunct faculty for the School of Business & Nonprofit Management at North Park University in Chicago and is a member of the National Speakers Association. His book, Mission-Critical Leadership: How Smart Managers Lead Well In All Directions, was published in April 2021.
Jon has been married to his wife Barb for over 35 years and they have three adult children and four grandchildren. Jon enjoys taking daily walks with their Australian Shepherd mix, Sequoia. His hobbies also include biking, golfing, participating in Minnesota sports, and reading for personal growth and development.
