After you have had a job interview and sent a thank you note, you enter into the hardest part of the process:  waiting.   Many people wonder when it is appropriate to follow up with an email or phone call.

If they have said not to contact them after the interview:  DON”T!

If this has not been addressed in the interview, we would suggest you wait at least a week, if not two weeks.  And, we would suggest an email is more appropriate than a phone call.  In the email, stress that you are highly interested in the position and that you are wondering what the next steps are and what the timeline might be.
